Soft Heart

islamic-calligraphy-bismillah

Tune-In Al-Ana’am:33-36

Main Point:-

  • Do not be offended by hurtful remarks of people who purposefully lie and deny the truth. But you continue to do your work.
  • Their remarks are against Allah swt’s ayaat (signs), Allah will deal with them Himself.
  •  These ayaat are enough evidence to deal with them.
  •  Examples from previous people is to give us awareness, so we can be patient and persevere and increase our endurance.

Hardest ayah addressed to Rasul Allah (saw) [6:35]

6_35

Translation Sahih International:

“And if their evasion is difficult for you, then if you are able to seek a tunnel into the earth or a stairway into the sky to bring them a sign, [then do so]. But if Allah had willed, He would have united them upon guidance. So never be of the ignorant.” 6:35

Tough Talk?

Soft and kind hearts do not want any bad come to people.

Therefore Allah swt telling Prophet Muhammad (s),

  1. Don’t  get too emotional over them and loose track of your work since he has a very soft heart. If these people had any good in them, Allah would have guided them. Allah knows and He is monitoring and recording every detail.
  2. Opposite of arrogance is humbleness. Allah tests them with hardship so they may be humbled.
  3. They do not want to SEE ~ They will not see the truth; they don’t want to face the reality and the clear signs as if they are blind. Because these people continually ignore the truth, so they can’t SPEAK the truth. And certainly can’t bear to HEAR the truth as well.

That is why

They are Blind + Mute + Dumb = Ignorant + Arrogant

Itching to Answer

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Not for Thee.”

This is one of the most tantalizing question I have come across in a long time. ” What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received that you wouldn’t give to anyone else?”

I will share my thoughts soon because this is a very juicy question.

When I read it, thoughts that ran through my head are:

  • Isn’t it against human nature to share an advice if it is beneficial and applicable to our life experience?!
  • If there is one thing we share, it is an advice (good or bad).
  • I need to make coffee or tea before jumping in to reply.
  • What is the best piece of advice I have Ever received? Really need to sift through my brain for this one.

Any thoughts people? Your comments will be much appreciated.

Protection in the Morning, Evening, Bedtime

Remind & Refresh

In the Pursuit of Writing

Many of us may not be aware of morning and evening azhkaar that were done by the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam. Many may think that these azhkaar are negligible in their values, which is furthest from the truth, subhanallah.

Productivity experts always advise you to have a set routine in your day, and to have a set regiment in your daily routine. As Muslims, our daily regiments should involve morning and evening azhkaar, done after fajr and asr. Imagine  beginning your day with fajr salah and then ‘meditating’ by extending the remembrance of Allah by doing the azhkaar that are taught to us by our Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasalam. There’s your kick start of the day right there, or your stress buster after asr and at bedtime.

Don’t take these azhkaar lightly, for they have powerful impact on your productivity and beyond. May Allah reward Sh Yaser for these short…

First Death

Remember the story of the two brothers, Kane and Abel a.k.a. Habeel and Qabeel. They were the sons of Adam. Kane became jealous of his brother because of his sincerity. Instead of improving himself, Qabeel brewed in so much jealousy that he tortured his own brother before giving him a final blow. He killed Abel. This marked the first death in the history of humanity and it started with a murder. How insane is that!

Jealousy is such a venomous emotion which started with a negative thought and in this case, it ends with a murder. However, I am not sure if Abel’s death brought any resolve to Kane’s dilemma and his self-worth? Suddenly, there was no more competition in his life to provoke him anymore but his heighten emotions left him in toil. Kane didn’t even know what to do with this body. God sent a crow that started digging the ground to bury something or some say, a dead crow. To this day, crows have become a symbol of death because it appeared at the death of first human.  And here Kane is learning from a crow to bury his dead brother’s body in the ground. Imagine the scenario for a moment, he obviously has never seen death before let alone murder and this was a result of his rage and jealousy. O Human! What have you done? Shame and embarrassment surrounded him that left him in bigger agony than before. Could he have repented and pleaded God for his forgiveness?

Based on his knowledge and experience I would say, yes he could. Of course, it is repentance and asking God for forgiveness which is also one of first lessons God taught Adam. I am sure Kane heard about the famous incident from his parents many times before they came to the earth. There they were forbidden from only one thing that was, not to eat from one tree out of the infinite bounties in Heaven. God forgave them because of their sincere repentance when they ate from the tree. But Kane, he didn’t ask God for forgiveness.

In Surah Maa’idah, Allah swt narrates this epic story:

(27. And recite to them the story of the two sons of Adam in truth; when each offered a sacrifice, it was accepted from the one but not from the other. The latter said to the former: “I will surely, kill you.” The former said: “Verily, Allah accepts only from those who have Taqwa*.) (28. “If you do stretch your hand against me to kill me, I shall never stretch my hand against you to kill you, for I fear Allah; the Lord of all that exists.”) (29. “Verily, I intend to let you draw my sin on yourself as well as yours, then you will be one of the dwellers of the Fire, and that is the recompense of the wrongdoers.”) (30. So the soul of the other encouraged him and made fair-seeming to him the murder of his brother; he murdered him and became one of the losers.) (31. Then Allah sent a crow who scratched the ground to show him how to hide the dead body of his brother. He said: “Woe to me! Am I not even able to be as this crow and to hide the dead body of my brother” Then he became one of those who regretted.)

Allah favored one over another because Allah is All-Knowing. He knew who was sincere and tried to do well. Likewise, wrongdoers get what they strive for. He felt ashamed but that was of no use because he did not ask Allah swt for forgiveness therefore his shame was of no use to him.

  • Taqwa means acknowledging Allah swt for who He is and having love for Him because of everything we have is a favor and blessing from Him. We must also fear Allah swt because we don’t want to be ungrateful, arrogant. This will surly make him angry.

Points of Clarity and Moral from the Story:

  • Sincerity is the key to success.
  • When you begin to feel jealous, say “I seek refuge in Allah …”
  • Everyone is capable of doing good and improving themselves.
  • A life for life is one thing but saving a human life is saving like saving entire human race.
  • Ask for sincere forgiveness from Allah swt even if it is murder.

  • Talk to Allah swt directly, and depend on Him to rectify your affairs. Read Quran and find what Allah (swt) is saying to you. Then speak-up for your rights where wronged.
  • A person who relay every bad news they hear and mention nothing good, they can never contribute towards any peace or resolution. This kind of brand-behavior has a very grave influence on people themselves and others.

“…Allah’s promise is the truth;

And whose words can be truer than those of Allah.”

Quran (4:122)

Inherently people agree with this statement regardless of their faith, creed or belief.

- in the making

– Promise-

Above verse from Quran, Our Creator consoles us by promising that truth will always prevail, so do good.

He is The Ever-Living, All-Knowing, The True.

– NEW MEDIA & THE NEWS-

No matter how ugly or discouraging a situation may seem because radical media continues to shun the good news and use their hub to slander majority of Muslims who are simply good, intelligent and hardworking people. Mainstream media’s job focuses on slander, deviation and hurtful episodes just to keep their rating pumping high. They disregard people’s need for peace – feelings.

When has News Media ever solved a problem or social discourse?

Just like Shaytaan keeps trying to create problems, News Media rallies for discourse.

Peace

People desire peace & want good entertainment. But when they see zoomed-out version of News channels bombarding hatred, general public jump on YouTube to connect with worldwide news channel. Here, people use new technology devices and channels to capture the zoomed-in real-time news events and relay actual feelings of the effected crowd. Then they go viral on the internet.

The Burning Bush Syndrome – People generally seek solutions to their problems because they want peace and good to prevail.
